AES Puerto Rico

The AES Puerto Rico complex in Guayama supplies up to 25% of Puerto Rico’s energy needs and consists of a thermal plant and a solar plant, as well as emergency generators and batteries. For twenty years, we have been working together with our stakeholders to provide safe, reliable and affordable energy solutions to improve lives and transform the energy grid of Puerto Rico. AES Puerto Rico generates the lowest-cost energy on the island and has saved the government and people of Puerto Rico approximately $2 billion dollars. The company’s operations generate 110 direct jobs and over 600 indirect jobs on the island. 

Clean Flexible Energy, LLC is an affiliated entity of AES in Puerto Rico, whose objective is to accelerate the transition to renewable energy and is focused on the design, construction and operation of said projects on the island.
